How to quickly select the right hole size?
- Need dust/finger protection? Use ≤5mm.
- Ventilation only (small debris allowed)? Use 6-10mm.
- Rule of thumb for plate thickness: 0.8mm plate → ≥φ2mm; 1.5mm plate → ≥φ3mm; 2mm plate → ≥φ4mm.
- Hole spacing (center-to-center): Typically 1.5 to 2 times the hole diameter (e.g., for φ5mm holes, use 7.5-10mm spacing).
